Bunbury Attractions

Bunbury Australia is a city full of attractions to suit everyone. Situated about a two-hour drive from Perth, and near the town of Albany, this little gem of Australia is full of surprises.

Residing in the sheltered waters of Koombanna Bay are the dolphins. Over 100 of these playful creatures frolic in the Bunbury sea, and sometimes even swim up to the Dolphin Discovery Centre. The centre is passionate about dolphin conservation and education.

Nature buffs should find this little gem of Western Australia right up their alley. There are numerous Bunbury walking trails, all taking advantage of the spectacular sights of the area. They range from an easy 1 km to a slightly more ambitious 6km. Throughout September and October walkers can also admire the large quantity of Bunbury wildflowers.

For a more birds-eye view on the city, make you way to one of the many lookouts. Boulter's Heights Lookout overlooks the city, while Marlston Hill Lookout takes in all three of Bunbury's waters.

Bunbury Western Australia is even home to the state's most accessible dive wreck. The Lena Dive Wreck, is suitable for divers of all levels and, on calmer days, snorkellers.

Whilst in Bunbury it may also be worth taking a day trip to a nearby town. The town of Hyden houses Wave rock, the spectacular 14 metre high rock formation, while nearby Mt Barker is a charming town that dates back to settlement times.

You can chill out on one of the beautiful beaches or be as adventurous as you like. The city offers a huge array of options for the most discerning traveller.
